Software

Software is an interface between the computer and the user. It is a group of programs that tell the computer what to do and how to do. Hardware cannot be used without software. A CD player becomes useless without CD's and a computer without software. Software is stored in a hard disks and magnetic tapes.
  There are thousands of software written for computers which are used for different applications. This can be divided into three major groups, which are as follows:
   1.Application software
   2.Utility software
   3.System Software
